What is Sferikul?

Pronounced “Spherical” (ˈsfirik(ə)l) – adj. meaning shaped like a sphere; globular, round.

The world is full of billions of people, and many of those people happen to make music. However, navigating the world of global music is tough due to the shear magnitude of music that is out there. That’s where Sferikul comes in. This site is designed to be your one-stop shop for trending, incredible music of all genres from all continents that we think you would want to take a listen to (minus, Antarctica… sorry penguins!). Not only will we try our best to stay up on music trends from around the world, but we will also offer features such as #fridayrewind when we cover notable foreign artists of the past and their musical impact as well as exclusive interviews with artists as time goes on, and much, much more!

WHAT THIS SITE IS NOT:

• A Political site – There is enough of that everywhere else on the internet, I mean c’mon, right?!
• A Religious site – The content on this site is about MUSIC, not the belief systems of artists and bands.
• An American Music site – No offense to American music (because we really do love it), but there are plenty of other sites that inform you about American artists, so we just figured we would let them handle that and not cover any on here. However, if parts of bands are American, we will make some exceptions here and there.

 

 

Who is Sferikul?

Abigail Pixler is a blogging creative based out of the Chicagoland-area.

With a background in singing and songwriting and a degree in graphic design, she loves all things creative. Outside of Sferikul, Abbey maintains a very productive lifestyle, always trying to make the best use of her time. A naturally peppy and boisterous extrovert, she loves getting to know people and enjoys spending time with those near and dear to her heart. Oh, and eating. She loves to eat.

Other contributors include guest bloggers, photographers who capture darling images of these musicians along with some amazing translators who help break through language barriers. Sferikul would not be in existence without these folks. Each contribution, whether translation, photo or writing is stated on each post. If the photographer is an associate of our’s, we will state such. Otherwise, images we are given permission by artists and managers to use will be given individual credit for their copyrighted works without stating an affiliation with Sferikul.
