Death. Such a short word for something so impacting. This was my Grandma – one of the most beautiful, tender and purest souls I have ever known. She was a few weeks away from her 87th birthday. I have gone 30 years without ever experiencing the death of a loved one. Frontwoman Canadian band Metric and member of indie supergroup Broken Social Scene, Emily Haines is back at it with more solo stuff under her previous moniker Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton! This article details my experience at one of the largest Latin-American Music Festivals in the U.S.A. – RUIDO FEST in Chicago.-This is me.   Desorden Público I arrived late afternoon Friday and the first artist I saw was Desorden Público, a ska band from Venezuela.
