MAD PROPS – 12/04/18

Short and sweet, but here are some reviews nonetheless!! SINGLES Sasha – Ouch! U.K. – Folk Pop Release Date: November 29, 2018 With an eerie organ sound starting this song, one wouldn’t expect this one to take such an infectious turn. Catchy is as catchy does and well, London singer-songwriter Sasha is damn catchy throughout Ouch!. It has Alice In Wonderland feels without feeling too overtly odd (because we all know how weird of a turn that can take sometimes). The chorus is something to marvel at, with your “arms wide open”, as her lyrics state. And while she sings … Continue reading MAD PROPS – 12/04/18

We present to you our first edition of our Cover Lover segment… enjoy!   Ex Makina – Wonderwall (Oasis Cover) U.K. | Pop Ok… I already love Wonderwall since it’s a classic so it’s hard to think of the song any way other than it’s 90’s-ness. INTRO/HISTORY/BACKGROUND FACTS: Based in London and brand spankin’ new as far as I can tell They only have 3 songs out … Continue reading COSMIC STRIP

Dead Naked Hippies

Leeding The Way U.K. | Post-Rock/Grunge It doesn’t get any fresher than Dead Naked Hippies. No, really. Fresh off the presses but not new to the music game, Leeds-based grunge band Dead Naked Hippies are something birthed right out of the 90’s rock scene and we could not be more grateful for what they bring to the plate. What’s so ironic is that they were but mere babes when 90’s grunge was at it’s peak, with ages ranging from the youngest at 23 to the eldest at 26 – all members having been born no earlier than ’91! Age however, … Continue reading Dead Naked Hippies

Wolf Alice

UK | Alternative Rock Huff and Puff and Yuk Foo! Who Needs Little Red Riding Hood When You Have the big, bad Wolf Alice? Seriously. The U.K. is churning out music like crazy, so it’s no wonder why they are the second largest exporter of music behind the U.S. And rightfully so. Just this month, Wolf Alice began their mostly sold out American tour, having made MASSIVE waves in the alternative rock scene stateside with their debut album My Love Is Cool. This album is rock solid if you are looking for some new alternative rock to listen to, as … Continue reading Wolf Alice
